INGREDIENTS & BENEFITS

The perceived health benefits of soursop passed down from previous generations who testify to it’s wondrous health properties. The leaves of the soursop plant, like sorrel, are known to be both an antioxidant & anti-inflammatory, neutralising free radicals that cause oxidative stress, making them potentially beneficial for alleviating symptoms of inflammatory conditions like arthritis. They help to regulate blood sugar, lower blood pressure, sooth digestive and ease stress or anxiety. boost health on a cellular level, possibly assisting to eliminate cancer, urinary infections, faulty liver problems, pancreatic issues, diabetes, and other diseases in the body without the need to go to the doctor.

Sorrel is a nutrient-dense plant that supports immune function, heart health, and improves digestion. It is highly prized for its strength and abundance of vitamins and minerals including:

Vitamin A - helps protect against age-related macular degeneration for optimal eye health

Vitamin C - which protects cells, aids in collagen production and helps the body fight off infections.

Magnesium and potassium - acting as natural vasodilators, helping to dilate blood vessels, lowering blood pressure

Dietary fibre prevents gastrointestinal issues and it’s flavonoids acts as natural diuretics

Ginger is rich in anti-inflammatory properties for cellular protection, aiding one’s digestion and fighting off infection, such as colds & flu’s. Can be made with or without sugar.

This can be made with or without alcohol, depending on preference. I use the trusted core ingredients of sorrel, ginger, cloves & pimento (allspice) –to make this delicious, traditional Caribbean beverage.

With the alcoholic option, I mix with classic Wray & Nephew white rum and Red Label alcoholic aperitif for that special party-effect. It’ll make you want to dance!

Pineapple: Loaded with vitamins, antioxidants and healthy digestive enzymes, including bromelain, a protein-digesting enzyme extracted from the stem and core of the pineapple plant. It is celebrated for its powerful anti-inflammatory and pain-relieving properties. Pineapple a real tropical fruit!

Lemon: Great source of vitamin C and natural detoxifier and digestive system cleanser

Ginger: Known for anti-inflammatory and digestive properties, and a benefit in boosting immunity as well as being a natural aphrodisiac.

Beetroot & Ginger

Combining beetroot and ginger provides powerful health benefits, notably improving heart health and red blood cell production, reducing inflammation and aiding healthy digestion

Beetroot is very rich in natural dietary nitrates, which once converted into nitric oxide by the body, helps to relax and open up blood vessels, improving circulation and helping to better deliver oxygen to your muscles and brain. This translates into your body using less oxygen during physical activity, giving you more energy and endurance.

Ginger and beets have strong anti-inflammatory properties that help protect your cells from damage, whilst ginger helps food move smoothly through your stomach, reducing bloating, nausea and indigestion.
